The 9x19mm Parabellum (abbreviated 9mm, 9x19mm or 9×19) cartridge was designed by George Luger and introduced in 1902 by the German weapons manufacturer Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) for their Luger semi-automatic pistol. For this reason, it is designated as the 9mm Luger / 9mm Luger +P by the SAAMI and the 9 mm Luger by the C.I.P.), differentiating it from the 9mm Makarov and 9mm Browning (.380 ACP) cartridges. Under STANAG 4090, it is a standard cartridge for NATO forces as well as many non-NATO countries.
Red Vipers are a cast lead projectile using certified factory alloy containing 92% lead, 6% animony and 2% tin.
After this projectile is swaged to correct diameter and profile, it then goes through a 3 step process of encapsulating the projectile with a non-toxic polymer based HI-TEK supercoat. This process eliminates smoke and leading associated with the traditional lead cast bullets.
This cost effective 9mm round is loaded with a brass casing, Winchester primer and powder along with a 124 gr Red Viper projectile. This round is loaded to SAAMI specs along with integrity and attention to detail to ensure reliability and outstanding performance.
